"MULTIVITAMINE: 10 COLLECTION. ART FOR A HAPPIER, SEXIER, MORE ORGASMIC LIFE. "

Sunday 21 November 2010

19h15 - 23h00ish

Happy Hour Evan's Presentation. Dinner and Dessert. More Great Socializing.

Our Guest of Honor

Evan Nabrit

Artist

Evan Washington Clarke Nabrit (b 1982) is a young and striking, classically trained fine artist, and critical intellectual from Columbus OH. There is something about Evan that you like right right away. Perhaps his genuine sincerity. And his niceness. His current work explores issues of political identity and culture, in contemporary American society. He’s delightful. He was homeschooled from 1991-2000. He finished Cum Laude at Amherst College, in 2006.

Evan has had significant residences and fellowships.(The list is very long and includes Japan - and a lot recently). He has had recent group shows in Manhattan. His solo exhibitions include the 'Intergraded', a collection of contemporary multimedia and video work, at Eli Marsh (2005); and the traditionalist, 'Essence of Women' collection of 17 painted oil-on-canvas nudes, at the KIACA gallery space in the short north arts district of Columbus, Oh (2007-08).

This Sunday, Evan will share works excerpted from his, "Multivitamin: '10 Collection", and talk, basically about: "Learning Through Art How To Have A Happier, Sexier And More Orgasmic Life In This High Comsumption Info, Media Era World"

("Art as Dietary Supplement: Offsetting Hazardous Effects of a High-Consumption Info-Media Diet, in a High-Consumption, Info-Media era.")
